Weekend turning course

Welcome to an intense weekend throwing class for slight advanced to advanced.

Who Anyone who has thrown enough to center and master the basic throwing skills or who has good skills but wants to challenge and improve them further. Participants must be over 15 years old.

What exactly we will work on depends on the participants. We will start by talking about what could be interesting as demonstrations, where each step can add more advanced skills, and see where we end up.
Since it is a smaller group of participants, there is good opportunity for individual teaching.

Possible themes could be larger pieces, assembling sections into larger or complex pieces, teapots, moonjars, or anything the participants would find interesting really.

Finished pieces You can have a maximum of three pieces fired. I will glaze them after the class, and you can choose between 3 of my glazes: Woodash, Moss green and Granite blue. If your piece exceeds 25 × 25 cm, an additional fee will be added to the price, depending on exact size.

Once the pieces are finished, you can pick them up at the studio or they can be sent to you with an additional shipping fee. Fee will be calculated depending on destination.

Bring clothes and shoes that can get dirty.
Aprons and tools are available, but feel free to bring your own if you like.
Coffee and tea can be made. There is a small selection. Feel free to bring a snack or dinner. There is also the possibility of shopping on the opposite side of the street. Unfortunately, there is no canteen to eat in.

Cleaning is a given in a ceramics workshop. That's why we stop about 1/2 hour before to get everything cleaned and tidied up together. Everyone helps each other.

Notification About a week before the class starts, I will send out an intro email with a little information. So make sure I get the right email address when purchasing the class. If you do not receive any email, please get in touch.

Gift If you have bought the class as a gift or are purchasing it for someone else, please forward the intro email to them before the class starts.
