Come and join in on a fun throwing class at my studio.

Price 3120,- DKK incl. VAT

This includes 4 kg of clay. If you use clay beyond this amount, you will be charged 40,- per kilo, including glaze and firing. This is paid separately at the end of the class on Mobilpay.

Language Danish and English

Who: Anyone who wants to try throwing or those who want to work on their already existing skills.
The course is not immediately suitable for children under 15. But please contact me with specific inquiries.

What exactly we will work with depends on the participants. If there are beginners, I will give a thorough introduction to all the basics. If some or all have experience, we will talk about what might be interesting to work with. Since it is a small group, there is a good opportunity for individual guidance. Regardless, there will be demonstrations of various techniques that everyone can participate in at their own level, if they want. It is also completely okay to do your own thing and not follow what is being demonstrated.

Possible themes could be simple cylinders on the first evening. It could be open shapes / bowls, closed shapes / vases / moonjars, throwing on a bat, plates / dishes / wide-bottomed items, lidded jars, trimming on chucks, pulling handles and much more. I will also introduce tools, clay types and much more.

Glazing will be done on the last evening. I give a careful review of various simple glazing techniques, tools and safety. We use a selection of my homemade glazes.

Bring clothes and shoes that can get dirty.
Aprons and tools are available, but feel free to bring your own if you wish.
Coffee and tea can be made. There is a small selection. Bring a snack or dinner if you like. There is also the possibility of shopping on the opposite side of the street. Unfortunately, there is no canteen to eat in.

Cleaning is a given in a ceramics workshop. That's why we stop about 1/2 hour before to get everything cleaned and tidied up together. Everyone helps each other.
